Owen Christopher Trimble arrives on September 23, 2013 at 2:33 p.m. He weighed 9 lbs. 4 ozs. and was 20 1/2 inches long. He was a BIG baby and took a while to make his entrance but he was well worth the wait!! I started having contractions around 3:30 a.m. They were not terribly painful and sporadic. Around 4:30 they increased in intensity and frequency. We decided it was time to call Momma T and Poppa T to come stay with the boys. We were not able to reach them by phone so Chad had to come over and we had to go to their house and wake them up! :) We arrived at the hospital and I was 4 centimeters and 90% effaced. I was admitted and fully dilated by 10:55. I didn't start pushing right away b/c Owen's head was still pretty high. Once I did start pushing, I thought it would go quickly but it did not. I pushed for almost 2 hours but in the end, Owen was happy and healthy and that is all that matters! Will and Alex are in love with their baby brother and are constantly wanting to hold him and talk to him. I am looking forward to watching their relationship grow.
