Thanksgiving

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving spent with the Trimble side of the family.  The boys enjoyed playing with all of their cousins and Owen enjoyed meeting them! :) There was a lot of food, fun and laughter; we always hate to see everyone leave.

Alex's Thanksgiving Feast

Today was the traditional Kindergarten Thanksgiving Feast in Alex's class. I was SO happy that Ashley could watch Owen so I could go.  I really have missed being involved in his class this year.  It was fun to see Alex interact with his friends.  Alex is fortunate to have a great teacher and a great group of children to spend his Kindergarten year with.

2 Months Old!!!

Wow!  PLEASE slow the time down.  I can't believe that Owen is 2 months old already.  He is changing so much and getting so big.  I love seeing his little personality emerge.

Here is what Owen has been up to:

• Weight - 13 lbs. 13 oz. (>95%), Height - 24 inches (90%)
• Owen is now sleeping 7.5 or 8 hours at night.  We are SO fortunate to have been blessed with a good sleeper!
• He eats every 2 1/2 to 3 hours during the day.  He still likes to fall asleep while eating so it takes a little while.  I don't mind, I treasure the time with him.
• He loves looking at the sun on his Einstein mat and has started talking to it.
• He loves to talk to Mommy and Daddy.  
• Is doing MUCH better with tummy time!  Is really becoming a strong little guy.
• Still loves to have a bath.

1 Month Old!

I can't believe Owen is already one month old!  Owen truly completes our family and we feel so blessed!

Here is what Owen is up to:

• Weight - 10 lbs. 10 ozs. (90%), 21 1/2 inches (50%)
• Owen sleeps for about 3 1/2 hour stretches at night (sometimes 4)
• He naps about every hour and 1/2 during the day anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour and 1/2
• He smiles, especially at Will! :)
• Owen does not really enjoy tummy time, he will tolerate it for about 4 minutes and then he lets me know it is time to be picked up.
• He really only cries when he is hungry or tired.
• Will and Alex LOVE their new baby brother!!

Having 3 children definitely has its challenges.  Trying to balance the right amount of time with Will and Alex is difficult but I know that it will get easier. Will and Alex have adjusted nicely to our new normal.  I am looking forward to watching their relationship with Owen grow!

Owen Christopher

Owen Christopher Trimble arrives on September 23, 2013 at 2:33 p.m.  He weighed 9 lbs. 4 ozs. and was 20 1/2 inches long.  He was a BIG baby and took a while to make his entrance but he was well worth the wait!!  I started having contractions around 3:30 a.m.  They were not terribly painful and sporadic.  Around 4:30 they increased in intensity and frequency.  We decided it was time to call Momma T and Poppa T to come stay with the boys.  We were not able to reach them by phone so Chad had to come over and we had to go to their house and wake them up! :)  We arrived at the hospital and I was 4 centimeters and 90% effaced.  I was admitted and fully dilated by 10:55.  I didn't start pushing right away b/c Owen's head was still pretty high.  Once I did start pushing, I thought it would go quickly but it did not.  I pushed for almost 2 hours but in the end, Owen was happy and healthy and that is all that matters!  Will and Alex are in love with their baby brother and are constantly wanting to hold him and talk to him.  I am looking forward to watching their relationship grow.

Halloween

We had a great Halloween!  The big boys enjoyed gathering with all the neighborhood kids and heading out in a group.  Momma T was in town and stayed with Owen so I could go around with Will and Alex.  It is hard to believe that this time next year we will be chasing 3 boys around the neighborhood! :)
