So hard to believe that my baby is 3 today!!! Alex was fully aware that it was his birthday and LOVED when we sang "Happy Birthday."  We started the day with breakfast using the special birthday plate and then headed to a swim play date.  I baked cupcakes to share with his friends. He had a HUGE smile when we all sang to him.  Bill & I decided not to do a big party this year we don't feel that he is old enough to remember so we did a small family party.  We rented a bounce house and had the Penningtons, Stubbs, and our next door neighbors over to jump, eat pizza, and cake.  Alex had a BLAST; so did we! :)

Alex is such a blessing to our family.  He is so full of life and giggles all the time.  Some of his favorite things are his brother, his lovies (monkey aka baby, raffy aka dewie, and effie), cheese/onion pizza, milk, ice cream sandwiches, pork tenderloin, and salad.  He loves to play outside whether he is riding his scooter, playing with chalk, or pushing his dumptruck around.  He always has a smile on his face.  He loves to sing; some favorites are: "Take Me Out To The Ballgame," "ABC's," "Yankee Doodle," and "Jesus Loves Me." His ALL time favorite is "Life Will Change" from our bible school cd.  We listen to it over and over.  When I say that Alex LOVES his big brother, that is an understatement.  He asks for him when he first wakes up, after nap, after school. I love watching their relationship grow and develop.  It is such a joy. 
He is really into rhyming right now and trying to sound out words like Will.  He gets really excited when he gets it right!  Happy Birthday Alex!! We love you!
