Alex James

Alex James is here! He decided to make his entrance to the world a few days earlier and a lot faster than we anticipated. I started having small/mild contractions around 7:00 a.m. on Sunday, June 29th. They were anywhere from 4 - 10 minutes apart all morning and early afternoon. Lulie convinced Bill & I that we should probably call the doctor and go in to be checked. We headed to the hospital around 2:45 laughing b/c we just knew they would send me home. When we arrived, I was 3 centimeters and 90% effaced. An hour later, I was 4 centimeters and 100 % effaced. Needless to say, I did not go home. Less than an hour later I was 6 centimeters. Alex was born 3 hours after arriving to the hospital. VERY fast. We are very blessed to have a healthy baby boy. He weighed 8 lbs. 5 ozs. and was 21 inches long.

Congratulations! Sounds like your labor was very similar to mine. Super fast! He is a cutie! Maybe one day our boys can be pals!

Congratulations! They say the 2nd child comes faster and Alex helped to prove that! My sister-in-law had Samantha in less than 2 hours and then when she had Shawn they barely made it to the hospital. How is Will doing with the new baby? Hope to see all of you when I come home in August!

Hey girl! Congrats, he's a cutie! I actually saw his picture the day he was born from your sister's site. I was hoping there would be something and just gave it a shot and clicked on there and score! I hope everything is going great!
